We Finally Know Why People Stopped Buying This From Tim Hortons
Announced on Oct. 12, 2017, the Tim Hortons Buffalo Latte consisted of "espresso, steamed milk, mocha, and ... Buffalo 'sauce flavor,'" with a sprinkling of Buffalo seasoning on top, according to the Lexington Herald-Reader.
Food media, of course, reacted. On its Ridiculous Novelty Beverage Scale, Eater gave the drink a 6.5. The poultry flavor and the notion that Justin Bieber might drink one played into the ranking. Still, the drink didn't really draw attention to itself visually; it came in a regular Tim Hortons cup. So the score couldn't go any higher.
The drink was not long for this world. Global News reported it was a limited edition item, and it no longer appears on the Tim Hortons menu in the specialty drinks section. It was a headline-grabbing gimmick. It's no wonder people stopped buying it.
